Disclaimer

If I were a parent in this day and age, I might wonder something along the lines of why should I listen to your ideas on what I should be doing with my children? ...or, maybe that's just my dad's genes coming out in me. Either way, we wanted an upfront disclaimer that we do not have our own children, nor do we claim to be professionals in the field of child psychology or how to raise your children. The ideas presented in this section of our blog have been tried and tested with children in one way or another (anywhere from a large group setting at the library, to babysitting one-on-one) and have been deemed successful and/or enjoyable to the kids to which they were presented. Our qualifications to tell you what will work for you and your children go no further than our own experiences, which we acknowledge may turn out entirely different from yours. For an idea of said [childcare] "experience", read on:

Lastly, we have been licensed foster parents since 2013.

So, while we have not yet conceived and birthed our own children yet (and really? even then we still wouldn't know everything) between the two of us, I'd say that we have a decent amount of experience - certainly enough for "unauthorized" advice/suggestions. ;)
